Step 1: Upload a File
To begin, upload your document to Highnote.
Step 2: Summarize the Document
Once your file is uploaded, you will be prompted to use the AI auto-summarizer. You will see a dialog box with the following options:
Use AI Summarizer: This option will initiate the summarization process.
Don't Use AI: This option will skip the summarization and proceed without generating a summary.
If you choose to use the AI summarizer, the system will process your document and generate a summary of the first page. This summary will be displayed in a pop-up window. You can review the summary and decide whether to:
Replace It: Accept the AI-generated summary and replace the original content with the summary.
Discard: Discard the summary and retain the original content.
Step 4: Manage Summarization Preferences
You can manage your summarization preferences in your account settings. Options include:
Always Use AI Auto-Summarizer: Automatically apply the summarizer to all uploaded documents.
Share File Information: Consent to sharing file information with third-party companies like ChatGPT for improved summarization accuracy.
💡To deactivate the auto summarizer, navigate to your account preferences and turn off the feature. This will ensure that the AI summarizer is not automatically applied to future uploads.
